Friday, April 5th

10 a.m. Young People’s Concert - Musical Moods

In Musical Moods, Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry a hip and with-it guy who mostly tweets and texts is having trouble communicating with his grandmother, who only writes letters. Wolfgang must turn his text to grandma into a letter. Could music help him add emotion, mood, and feeling to his words? Join the musicians of the Docha music festival as they teach Wolfgang about dynamics, articulation, and major and minor keys in an effort to help him express himself! Featuring the music of Brahms, Beethoven, and Dvorak. 

Comical and educational musical play, perfect for families of all ages.

Featuring Rami Vamos and Erica Cruz Hernandez.

7 p.m. Chamber Music Performance - A Grand Night for Singing

Music and Songs of Rodgers, Hammerstein and Hart performed by Lyric Theatre Illinois

Don’t miss the sing-a-long!

Saturday, April 6th

7 p.m. Chamber Music Performance - Heart of Generations

Featuring the Jupiter String Quartet, violinists Nelson Lee and Megan Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel and cellist Daniel McDonough,  performing string quartets of Mendellsohn and Ligeti. This riveting quartet will be joined by members of the Illinois String Academy in Edward Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro.

Please join us for an evening of string virtuosity.

Sunday, April 7th

5 p.m. Chamber Music Performance - Ace 10

Celebrating our 10th year of bringing world-class music to downtown Champaign, we end this year’s festival with a powerful evening of works by Schubert, Strauss, Cooke and more, performed by Yvonne Redman, Bernhard Scully, Michael Tilley, Yulia Fedoseeva and Stefan Milenkovich. They will be joined by the Khroma Saxophone Quartet for an unforgettable evening to close our first decade of performances.

* Open to people of all ages.


Enjoy world-class music in a casual environment. We invite the entire community to join us April 5-7, 2019.

All events are free!  No tickets are required. 

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the Theater for the 7 p.m. and 5 p.m. events and we encourage you to sit back and enjoy your beverage at one of the many tables in the theater while experiencing great live music. 

*Outside alcoholic beverages (BYOB) not permitted.  Doors open 30 minutes prior to event start time.
